OUT For Business Youth Entrepreneurship Cohort 2021 – Jordan Hipson, Founder, Over Sea Real Estate Management
The CGLCC Youth Entrepreneurship Program empowers LGBT+ entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 39 by providing them with support and tailored guidance to help them establish or grow their own businesses. The one-year program has four components:
- networking
- access to funding
- building business skills
- mentoring
Launched in 2017, the program helps a new group of young entrepreneurs each year. Each week, we will be spotlighting a member of our 2021 OUT For Business Cohort.

Over Sea Real Estate Management is a property management firm specializing in hospitality, commercial, and residential properties. Our team of real estate professionals serves investors around the world from our headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
What drew you to this program and what are you looking forward to most?
I am drawn to any opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, especially those that are LGBT+! I am looking forward to absorbing as much knowledge from my mentor and peers as possible.
What does having access to a program like OUT For Business mean to you?
Having access to OUT For Business is having access to some of the top business talent in Canada, and it’s an opportunity for the LGBT+ community to celebrate business in our own gay way!
What inspires you?
Any person who works fiercely on their own happiness.
