Contest Rules

Prize: Two (2) Economy Class tickets anywhere in Canada

Value: $1,800

Description:

Air Canada is pleased to provide you with two (2) Economy Class round trip promotional tickets for travel to any Air Canada scheduled destination in Canada. Tickets are valid for travel on Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada Rouge scheduled flights only (not valid on Star Alliance partners or code sharing carriers). Space is subject to availability in M (Economy) Class at time of booking, and all travel is to be completed by 31 December, 2022. Travel is not permitted during the standard blackout periods, which are subject to change without notice.

Conditions:

• All applicable fees, such as airport/departure taxes, security charges or other third party fees, taxes or charges are included.
• Once your ticket has been issued, the origin and destination cannot be changed. However, a change to the flight time, and/or travel date is permitted. Please go to aircanada.com, select “My Bookings/Flights” and make your change. A change fee per ticket may apply.
• Your ticket is not transferable, not refundable and not redeemable for cash.
• Frequent flyer mileage accumulation is not permitted.
• Stopovers or multi-city itineraries are not permitted.
• Tickets are valid for travel in Economy Class only; upgrades are not permitted (paid or otherwise).
• Entry into the Signature Suite is not permitted.
• Promotional pass recipients may be held liable to Air Canada for failure to adhere to the restrictions and conditions of travel applicable to their tickets or for the fraudulent use of those tickets.

Blackout dates include:

• December 15th, 2021 to January 05, 2022
• April 13th – 20th, 2022 inclusive
• July 23rd, 2022 to August 7th, 2022
• December 14th, 2022 to January 04, 2023

Your promotional code may not be distributed or sold, or otherwise used for commercial or personal gain, other than for the purpose for which it is intended. Air Canada reserves the right to modify or cancel this promotional code at our discretion. Any violation of these conditions may be subject to cancellation of the promotional code, of any booking made using this promotional code, and/or to any legal or other recourse available for the recovery of damages suffered or costs, expenses or loss incurred as a result of such prohibited use.

Contest Period

The entry period for the contest begins on November 10th, 2021 at 3:15pm ET and ends on November 19th, 2021 at 10:00pm ET. To be eligible, your entry must be submitted during the contest entry period.

Eligibility

The contest is open to any individual who meets the following criteria:
(a) is a legal resident of Canada (except Quebec) at the time of the Contest Entry Period;
(b) who have reached the age of majority in the province or territory they reside in at the time of the Contest Entry Period;
You are not eligible to enter the contest or be selected as a winner if you are:
(c) an employee at CGLCC or MobilBid, a spouse or child of such an employee, or any other company or individual engaged in the provision of goods or services, related to this contest.

How to Enter

No purchase necessary:

A participant has the option to enter the contest by mailing their entry directly to the CGLCC for free. CGLCC will be responsible for entering this entry into the system with no charge to the participant. Participants must mail their entry so that it is received by no later than 12:00 pm ET on November 19th, 2021 to CGLCC’s office at 100 University Avenue, 5th Floor, Toronto (ON), M5J 1V6. This must include their full name and contact information, such as their phone number and email address. Any entries received after 12:00 pm ET on November 19th, 2021 will not be accepted. Tickets will be sold at $50 each. Tickets cannot be discounted (i.e. we cannot sell 1 ticket for $50, 3 for $125 etc.). There is a limit of ten (10) contest entries per entrant during the contest entry period.

Winner selection process:

On November 19th, 2021 at 10:00pm ET, one entrant will be randomly selected from all eligible contest entries received during the contest entry period. A designated CGLCC representative will contact the winner using the information they provided upon entering the contest. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible contest entries received. Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Prize may not be sold and is not convertible to cash. CGLCC reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part. A release form will be sent to the winner and must be returned prior to the prize being awarded.

In the release, the eligible winner is required to:

(a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid;
(b) confirm compliance with these contest rules;
(c) agree to release, discharge and hold harmless CGLCC, its departments and agencies, parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, counsel, marketing partners and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, successors, sponsors, partners, licensees, subsidiaries, agents, artists, advisors, assignees, and all others associated with the administration, development and execution of the Contest (Released Parties) from and against any and all manner of action, cause of action, claim or demand, loss or injury, use or misuse of a prize, suit, debt, covenant, contract, including legal fees and expenses whatsoever;

The selected entrant will be disqualified and forfeits all rights to the prize if the selected entrant:

(a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question;
(b) fails to return the properly executed release; or
(c) cannot be declared a winner in accordance with these contest rules for any reason.
If the applicable Entrant is disqualified, the CGLCC contest representative reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select another entrant via random draw (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected Entrant).

General

The contest is governed in accordance with the domestic laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The CGLCC contest representative reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates and/or timeframes stipulated in these contest rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verifying compliance with these contest rules or for any other reason. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these contest rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any contest-related materials, the terms and conditions of these contest rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.
