- What is your role at CGLCC?
My role is Intern, Youth Development Coordinator.
- Before working at CGLCC, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Prior to CGLCC, the most interesting job I had would have to be working at a hotel in Niagara Falls. All the different people you could meet in a day really made the job exciting and fun, plus it was fun to practice speaking other languages with guests.
- What drew you to CGLCC originally?
Being able to help the LGBT+ community and really showcase the potential that has yet to be unlocked is what drew me to CGLCC. I knew that I wanted to be a part of something that gave people hope and a sense of purpose and I truly believe the CGLCC does that.
- How will this position with the CGLCC help you in your career development?
I hope that when my internship is completed that I will be ending the term more adaptable, collaborative, and independent than when I first came in. I also hope to relate these qualities with my schooling, allowing me to become a better student and when the time comes, an excellent worker.
- Who would your dream dinner guest be?
My dream dinner guest would have to be Harriet Tubman. I think she could teach me a lot about courage, perseverance and leadership.
