As part of an Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED)-funded initiative, Tourism HR Canada (THRC) is working with its principle partner, Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC), to deliver a responsive comprehensive and sustainable LGBTQ2 Tourism Market Ready Program aimed at helping tourism businesses and communities develop a lucrative and fast-growing LGBTQ2 market. A series of inclusion workshops, Market Ready seminars, and Train the Trainer sessions are being delivered across Canada, along with a series of Resource Guides being developed to support this project.

Some of the deliverables include:

  • Conducting of research, including domestic LGBTQ2 traveler market research and international best practices research
  • Developing a series of resource guides and web based materials
  • Train the Trainer / Facilitator Workshops or Webinars
  • LGBTQ2 Diversity Training Workshops 
  • LGBTQ2 Travel Market Seminars/ Market Ready Workshops
  • LGBTQ2 Tourism Destination Audits
