August 20, 2020

Following the very successful LGBTQ2 Trade Mission to Tampa, this past August, the CGLCC is pleased to announce that it recently established a Partnership Agreement with the Canada-Florida Chamber of Commerce (CFCC). We are also pleased to announce that under this partnership agreement, CGLCC members will get a 15% discount on their CFCC membership.

The mission of the CFCC, which was established in 2009, is to support bilateral trade and investment between Canada and Florida. It is estimated that Canada currently conducts some $8 billion in trade with Florida every year.  This partnership with the CFCC will undoubtedly provide CGLCC certified members new and broad business opportunities. Florida is an economic powerhouse. It has the fourth biggest economy of the United States and is the third biggest state in the country in terms of population. Florida’s economy is extremely diverse, including tourism, agriculture, aerospace and aviation, life sciences and financial services among its top industries. In addition, Florida is one of the largest export states in the U.S. and is a major gateway for merchandise trade between North America, Latin America, the Caribbean and other world regions.

If you would like to join the CFCC or would like to get further details on the CFCC’s mandate and activities, we encourage you to check the Chambers website: canadafloridachamber.com and/or to contact directly the Director of the Chamber, Mr. Maxime Veillette. He can be reached at: maxime.veillette@canadafloridachamber.com, and/or by phone at 514-400-9445 #20. The CFCC is based in Montreal ( 1800 av McGill College, Suite 600, Montreal, QC, H3A 3J6).
