Manager of Supplier Diversity at Kellogg Company Wins CGLCC Chair’s Award

November 15, 2017

Toronto, November 7, 2017– The Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) has given its Chair’s Award to Debra Quade, Manager of Supplier Diversity at Kellogg Company.

The Chair’s Award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the LGBT+ business movement in Canada and/or globally.  This year’s recipient has demonstrated a strong commitment to increasing opportunities for LGBT-owned businesses in Canada through her ongoing support of the CGLCC Supplier Diversity Program.

“Debra Quade has been a strong supporter of supplier diversity from the start,” said R. Bruce McDonald, co-founder and Chair of the CGLCC.  “She made sure that Kellogg Company was a founding partner of the CGLCC Supplier Diversity Program. She has always been willing to participate in CGLCC events, and has been active in CGLCC’s programs.

“Debra is quick to talk to certified LGBT enterprises to help them connect with corporations. She has also significantly widened the scope of impact for the LGBT Supplier Diversity Program by encouraging her corporate peers to connect with the CGLCC, contract with certified businesses, and commit to the growth and success of LGBT businesses.”

The recipient was selected by the Chairperson from among nominations received.  The award was presented at the CGLCC’s Black & White Gala in Toronto on November 2, 2017.
