Prior to this, she spent her time organizing in the Queer community around heart-centered safe and pleasure focused on sexuality, creating films and expanding her self-awareness.

Renee has founded TransforMaven Wellness; a coaching program and community designed to inspire people to reach back into the power of their own knowledge and draw from the source of who they are at the core of their being.

Webinar: Productivity and Emotional First Aid During COVID19

During the present economic and socially uncertain time, we are all being forced to look at the probable future of our communities and that of our own with anxiety. The psychological effects of this crisis necessitated a discussion about how do we keep our mental wellbeing when everything we counted on has been thrown into a question?

This 45-minute session, with 15 minutes for Q&A will cover the basics of a crisis mentality, mechanics of emotions, and practical psychological and behavioral dos and don’ts of crisis management.

Meet Our Speaker

Deepak Kashyap (He/Him) is a counseling therapist and life skills trainer. He provides emotional and mental health services in person and online for over 10 years. He holds a master’s degree in the Psychology of Education from the University of Bristol, UK. He has been formally trained in advanced programs in REBT and CBT from the Albert Ellis Institute in New York and attended the MBCT summer school program at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre at the University of Oxford, England.

He has conducted workshops in India, Dubai, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Canada on various emotional wellbeing projects. His expertise lies in developing and delivering programs for corporate mental health initiatives, Diversity and Inclusion training and LGBTQ2S+ leadership and rights activism. Deepak has developed and delivered programs like Employee Emotional First-aid, Unconscious Bias, Safe and Respectful Work Environment, Effective Vs Performative Allyship, Making Workplaces more Welcoming of the Queer Employees Beyond Just the Pride Month, Emotional Skills for Feminism, Distinctions between Social Justice Warriors/Workers, Squaring Up Meritocracy and Privilege Myths and many such seminal pieces for workplace safety and equity.

He is a published columnist in national newspapers and magazines and writes about issues related to sex, mental health, relationships, and emotional disturbances. He has appeared on various national and international news channels, talk shows, and debates, radio and newspapers, discussing emotional health and sexuality issues. Deepak is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Practitioners (OAMHP) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

CGLCC is convening weekly calls every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. EST for LGBT+ businesses across Canada regarding the status of COVID-19 until further notice. The purpose of these calls is to provide a forum for LGBT+ businesses to share how they are being affected by COVID-19 and to learn about available support and resources.
Please note: these calls may include government representation from the office of The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, as well as other government-related agencies, to hear the concerns of stakeholders and to provide additional information.
*These weekly calls will be conducted in English.
