Annual LGBT+ Supplier Diversity Award Recipients Announced

TORONTO, ON – June 6, 2018– The Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) this week announced the 2018 winners of its fifth-annual LGBT+ Supplier Diversity Awards, sponsored by Kellogg Company. These awards recognize the efforts and participation of both individuals and businesses which champion LGBT+ supplier diversity in Canadian corporate procurement.

CGLCC’s LGBT+ supplier diversity program is supported by over 19 leading Canadian corporations, demonstrating how inclusive procurement practices are bolstering the economic empowerment of Canada’s estimated 140,000 LGBT+ owned-businesses.

Awards were presented to winners at a luncheon during the LGBT+ Global Business Summit and Supplier Diversity Forum, Presented by TD Bank on Tuesday, June 5. More than 175 delegates attended the two-day event hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Downtown Toronto.

The Program Ambassador of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding efforts of an individual, group, organization or corporation in raising awareness and support of the LGBT+ Supplier Diversity Program in Canada. The Supplier of the Year Award recognizes the participation, efforts and success of a CGLCC-certified LGBT+ Business.
