Welcoming a new generation of Youth Entrepreneurs

November 4, 2022

Each year, the OUT For Business youth entrepreneur program supports a select group of LGBT+ youth entrepreneurs from across Canada to grow their businesses with the support of amazing mentors and community leaders. This year is no exception as we celebrate a new cohort for 2022!

Thank you for your time and dedication, to all the mentors, mentees, and supporters involved this year.

Initially launched in 2017, CGLCC’s OUT for Business program bridges the gaps between young entrepreneurs and the guidance they need to succeed. OUT for Business provides direct access to this support and helps engage and develop Canada’s LGBT+ future leaders.

“We wanted to build a program that could truly support this group as they’re going through pivotal moments in their entrepreneurship journey,” says Darrell Schuurman, Co-founder and CEO of CGLCC.

The 12-month program offers participants further access to networking opportunities, one-on-one mentoring, in addition to education, resources and workshops offered by Carleton’s Sprott School of Business. Completing the program also provides one year of CGLCC Certified Supplier membership, opening doors to additional opportunities, corporate partners and global markets.

The program would not be possible without the generous support of Scotiabank, TD, Higgins and Burke Naturals and The City of Toronto. As well as the resources, guidance and programming from Carleton’s Sprott School of Business.
