He had the honour of greeting the Vice President and Minister of Education for Costa Rica upon their arrival at the conference and to bring greetings from Canada to the delegates at the opening of the Conference. This year there were 7 Canadian delegates including 2 representatives from the Canadian Embassy in Costa Rica. Canada and Costa Rica have a long history and also have a Free Trade Agreement in place. Costa Rica is the most LGBTI friendly country in Central America, and is a destination for those seeking refuge from persecution, hate, and violence from other countries in the region. In the Afternoon, Bruce participated on a panel with the NGLCC and CCDCR talking about what LGBTI Chambers bring to our community and the community at large. The conference was well attended and had some spectacular speakers and presentations.
